Description
"The Calcium-Sulfide Corporation was given a charter on February 13, 1929. The plant, manufacturing Cal-Mo-Sol fungicides and insecticides, was built in East Damascus near the Douglas Bridge."
"Cal-Mo-So was the only maker in the U.S. of Calcium Mono Sulfide. During World War II this company produced Barium Sulfide, necessary for the war effort. Officers were John L. Crist, president; A.W. Ristine, vice-president; and G.A. Hall, treasurer."
"The first manager of the plant was A.W. Ristine. After 1932 George A. Hall was plant manager and vice-president until the company ceased operation in 1946 because the principal source of raw materials was exhausted."
